| Flight Technical Training Of the 17 full flight simulators at Cranebank, 16 can be used as part of a Zero Flight Time (ZFT) training package. Our Flight Technical Training teams provide flight crews with CAA-approved type rating courses, to JAR FCL standard. This allows pilots to gain and maintain their aircraft type approval without the expense of tying up a real aircraft for base training. Team building and crew resource management are an important part of all courses, and Captains and First Officers train side by side to create a real life operating environment. Almost all Flight Technical Training is carried out by Training Captains and Training Co-pilots - experienced British Airways pilots who spend a proportion of their time dedicated to training duties. |
